Description:
As a public service, each of the Troop Area Headquarters of the Nebraska State Patrol provide fingerprint collection service for the general public via electronic capture (known as "LiveScan"). The collection of fingerprints is done at no cost but there is a fee if those fingerprints are to be submitted to the FBI for a nationwide criminal record search. Nationwide fingerprint-based criminal history checks are only available if it is required by a state or federal law.
